How to Set Up Cart with Expiration Time (Saved basket)?

Recommended Posts

My apologies if this has posted twice i've been having trouble using the forum today!

I was wondering how you set up the function which allows shopping carts to be saved for a set period of time. It's listed on the specs for prestashop under 'saved shopping carts configured with expiration time' but i can't find any instructions on how to do this anywhere. I'm using version 1.4.4.1 if thats any help.

Thanks!

Hi - thanks for your reply.

I've just looked at this and realised I didn't actually explain what i meant very well so sorry. I meant is there a way to set the store so that if a customer puts an item in their cart then no one else can purchase said item unless the customer with it in the basket becomes inactive for such an amount of time.

Hope that makes a bit more sense! Thanks in advance :)

So basically, you want an individual product to not be available for purchased if it's in someone's cart already, at least until the cart expires?

Unfortunately, I don't think that is something possible by default in PrestaShop. You will likely need to try to find an external module that could handle this for you, as I just ran a test with multiple accounts trying to purchase an item with only one unit remaining, and both could add it to their cart.
