Registration Terms

PrestaShop is the designer and publisher of an open-source software solution, distributed under a free license (Open Software License OSL-3.0), allowing its users to create e-commerce sites.

This solution can be downloaded from the PrestaShop website www.prestashop.com.

It allows its users to personalize their e-commerce site and add additional features, free or paid, freely developed by the PrestaShop community already integrated or accessible on the PrestaShop Marketplace.

The benefit of the Services is exclusively reserved for professionals within the meaning of French consumer law.

These general conditions govern the rights and obligations of users who use the forum.

They form, with the Personal data protection policy, full terms of use.

PrestaShop reserves the right to modify these T&Cs at any time. If applicable, the modifications will take effect fifteen (15) days after their publication on the prestashop.com site.


  • General Conditions or T&Cs :means these general conditions, including its possible annexes and modifications
  • Forum : designates the website https://www.prestashop.com/forums/.
  • PrestaShop : designates the limited company with capital of 430,645.65 euros, whose head office is located at 198 Avenue de France, in PARIS (75013), registered with the Paris RCS under number B497 916 635.
  • Services : designates the service(s) presented by these General Conditions.
  • Solution : designates the open-source e-commerce solution published by PrestaShop, freely downloadable from its website or GitHub.
  • User :  designates any professional natural or legal person using the Services subject to these General Conditions.


1. Acceptance of the T&Cs

By browsing the Forum,The user acknowledges having read and accepted the T&Cs and the documents to which they refer and undertakes to respect them.

If the User does not accept the T&Cs, he must not use the Forum.


2. Purpose of the Forum

Forum allows Users to exchange information, query and communicate with members of the Forum about the activities of Prestashop and its products and services.


3. Registration for Forum

Use of the Forum is free.

The Forum is accessible by creating an account, which requires the provision of personal data.

The data that must be provided is identified by an asterisk (*). The User undertakes to provide only accurate, complete and up-to-date information.

The User chooses a username, which must not contain:

  • Their real identity (first and last name);
  • Personal data;
  • The name of a company or brand of a third party, and more generally any other protected intellectual property element whose use is not authorized.

4. User Commitments

The User acknowledges and accepts that his publications and his user name are public, any other User of the Forum may have access to them, even after unsubscription and/or deletion of his account.

Posts and responses on the Forum that do not constitute personal data cannot be deleted.

The User acknowledges that publications on the Forum reflect the opinions of its authors. In this regard, PrestaShop cannot, under any circumstances, be held responsible for the content of these publications.

The User undertakes not to:

  • threaten, defame, insult or intimidate a person or entity,
  • take part in or contribute to illegal activities or activities that violate the rights of others and in particular their copyright and trademark rights,
  • publish, post, upload to a server, distribute or disseminate any topic, name, material or information that is inappropriate, offensive to religious or ethical beliefs, defamatory, obscene, indecent or unlawful,
  • provide false, misleading or erroneous information,
  • denigrate or damage the reputation of PrestaShop or any other user.

The User undertakes not to use the Forum in particular for the purpose of harming PrestaShop or any other Internet user, or in order to obtain unauthorized access to any service, account, network or database.

The User undertakes to make correct, appropriate and fair use of the Forum's contents and services.

Any illegal, illicit and/or activity contrary to morality or public order is strictly prohibited.


5. Moderation and restriction of access

The User must report any illicit content or behaviour contrary to the T&Cs by writing to [email protected].

PrestaShop reserves the right to terminate upon registration of the User to the Forum, at any time and without notice or to remove any publication in the event of inappropriate content or contrary to these T&Cs. If applicable, PrestaShop notifies its suspension decision to the user.


6. Intellectual property

All elements of the Forum are protected by intellectual property rights belonging to PrestaShop. The brands, domain names, acronyms, logos, designs and others that appear on the Site and the Forum are the exclusive property of PrestaShop.

The User is also informed that use of the PrestaShop brand in a domain name is strictly prohibited.

Consequently, it undertakes not to use this brand within a domain name. The use of the PrestaShop brand in a domain name may be subject to restriction of access to the Forum and legal action.

Use of the Forum does not entail any transfer of intellectual property rights, relating in particular to its content, the Site or the PrestaShop brand and the software.


7. Personal data

Personal data collected on the Forum is processed in accordance with our Personal data protection policy.

Never publish your personal information about yourself, whether in a professional context or during an exchange with another User.

As such, the User acknowledges that the following elements do not constitute personal data, and cannot be subject to a request for modification or deletion:

  • Any data relating to a company, in particular but not exclusively: a company telephone number, a company email address, a registered trademark, a company name, a link to a company internet page or a profile of social network of a company;
  • All technical or computer data, in particular but not exclusively: the code and components of a module distributed under an open source license, computer formulas;
  • Contributions from Users when they are not identifiable, including in particular but not exclusively: the content of responses sent to other Users, messages opening a subject;


8. Disclaimer

PrestaShop will make its best efforts to make the Site accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week without being held to an obligation of result.

PrestaShop may at any time suspend, limit or interrupt access to the Forum or certain pages thereof in order to carry out updates, modifications to its content or any other action deemed necessary for the proper functioning of the Forum.

More generally, PrestaShop cannot be held responsible due to:

  • From the use of the Forum made by the User,
  • Any activity which would constitute a violation of these T&Cs by the User,
  • Any damage that may be caused to the User's equipment due to a virus contracted while browsing the Site or the Forum or any other damage caused by the User's browsing,
  • Any redirection to third-party sites containing illicit content.

The User is solely responsible for any loss or damage, material or immaterial, which results from the use of the Forum.


9. Applicable law

These T&Cs are subject to French law.

Any dispute between the parties relating to the interpretation or execution of the General Conditions will be the subject of an attempt at amicable settlement. Failing this, the parties assign jurisdiction to the Commercial Court of Paris (France), notwithstanding plurality of defendants or warranty claims, emergency procedures or precautionary procedures.
