Prices don't change for combinations

Recommended Posts

A fresh install of 1.6.0.5 and quite a few problems.  I've found work-arounds for most of them but this major problem is, well, major!

A given product has combinations of 'Large', 'Medium', and 'Small'.  Each has a unique price assigned to it.  However, when the customer selects the size desired, the price doesn't change.

I've tried to set this up in 'Product Attributes' and also tried with the 'Combination Generator' on the product setup page.  Nothing seems to work.

Time is of the essence.

Good morning

I have just tried and it works perfectly for me

http://adultskunk.co.uk/index.php?id_product=10&controller=product#/size-l

But I do not know how you have set your prices/combinations

Paul

I don't know where you got that URL from.  That's not the one.

I noticed that if you don't select the color (silver or gold), the price change does work.  However, once you select the color you desire, the price no longer changes.  http://www.mylocketoflife.com/shop

I see the price changes when you select a color but the problem I'm having is if you select a color and then select a size, the price doesn't change.  If you select a size without selecting a color, the price does change.  BUT, if you then select a color, the price goes back to the default price.  Both the color and the size must be selected in order for us to fill the customer's order.

I think you need to take a look at your combinations again.

The combinations you have set so far result in ONLY a Small, Blue shirt to be 27 pounds. Using this product as an example. http://adultskunk.co.uk/index.php?id_product=1&controller=product#/size-s/color-blue

I don't have anything blue.  Only silver and gold.  Here's a direct link to a product:  http://www.mylocketoflife.com/shop/en/lockets/1-faded-short-sleeve-tshirts.html

Sorry, wrong website. In your product, all Smalls are 22 dollars, mediums are 24 dollars, and larges 26 dollars. How would you want it set up ideally?

The way I have it right now is just a work-around to get it going.  I had the color combinations (silver and gold) as a separate radio button selection.  That makes it easier for the customer, especially if one has eyesight issues.  The way it is now, it's easy to select the wrong thing.

So you have one attribute called Color with values of Gold and Silver and another attribute called Size with values Large, Medium and Small.

If you go into the Combinations generator and select the 2 values for Color and the 3 for Size, click Add and then edit the price impacts to suit, if you then generate the combinations, you should get what you want.

If you set the combinations up manually, be sure for each combination to select your color value, click Add, then select the size value, then click Add again.

Either way, you should get two dropdowns on the product page in front office for your customer to make their choices, and the price should adjust according to the selected combination.

Cheers, Dave

Thanks, Dave but that's what I did.  If you select a color, when you then select the size the price doesn't change.  If you first select a size, the price does change but then when you select a color the price goes back to the default price.

Can you show us a screenshot of your Combinations screen in the back office? That will help us because we could see the price impact on the combinations.

Same problem here.

When selecting one combination (size) it changes tu the correct price but it changes again to default price in one second.

check here: http://www.donpet.es/ropa-de-gala-para-perro/476-smoking-negro-en-tallas-grandes.html

size 3XL is 19.95€

size 4XL is 20.75€

size 5XL is 20.95€

size 6XL is 21.15€

size 7XL is 21.45€

it should be somthing wrong with jquery tools. I tried deactivating the yotpo module, but it wasnt the problem.

edit: changed from radio button to drop-down list and now it works. So the problem is the radio button selector.
