[SOLVED] How does New Product box work ? I don't see new products

Just a question.

 

The New Product box.

I thought I would display the newest product I have added on the top and then when I add a new product again it will show on the top list and put the next one down ?

Well, the query orders products based on the date of addition, so yes, new ones should be on top. I'm not sure I understood what you said, yours are being added below old ones?

if you dont see new products there - it might be related to the cache. this module in PS 1.5.5 uses cache engine

Yes I do see new products there but when I add new products it does not show up on the list. I would expect it to show up on the top of the list at once it is added. However after some time it did. So it might be a cache problem.

 

And like now....I have on top of my new product list  an item which was new yesterday but I deleted it because it was wrong.

But still it is on the top of the list. And new products I have added today does not show up.

However the new products added today has the "NEW PRODUCT" banner even though it does not (yet) show up on the New Product list.

 

Just clear the smarty cache ?

Yeah it might be a caching issue at this point, you can clear it from advanced parameters, performance

Dear friends, 

I have another issue related to New Products Block. I'm using Ps 1.5.6.0 multistore.

I sometimes need to copy a product from one shop to another. 

When done so, the product is copied perfectly, but it does not show in the New Products Block, even though it is very new; usually created in the other shop 1 or 2 days before, while products are considered new for 60 days.

Can you please help me?
