[SOLVED] www or no www?

My shop currently has no www in the URL.

My "Main Site" (not part of shop) does have.

 

Should I have www? And if so, how do I put it in/move shop?

 

It seems that SEO checks are reporting problems (302 redirects) for some pages, and I'm getting all confused. Would it be easy to add the www, leave it well alone, or start shop over from scratch? (That can be done ... not a huge shop yet)

You do not need to start over I'm sure the community can get you sorted out.

if your website is already indexed in google, change may slightly affect your website's position in serps.

you can always define domain with www and then - create 301 redirection from non-www to www in .htaccess file

my search rating is still pretty poor, i don't think it would be a problem.

My "Main Site" is www, with a .htaccess 301 redirect from non-www, but my shop doesn't seem to be www.

When I tried to just alter Shop Domain (And SSL Domain) in "SEO and URL" section, all my images broke.

 

I am using PrestaShop 1.5.4.1

How would I alter the .htaccess to redirect non-www to www?

I presume this would be the .htaccess in /shop/directory?

I would just alter the shop domain as you stated you did previously. Then just rename the existing .htaccess file you have in the /shop/ folder, then re-save the SEO & URL page, which will re-create the .htaccess file.

my shop is now on www!
