Addons validation

Hi Prestashop,

 

We have uploaded 3 new themes and 2 modules two weeks ago, preatashop did not validate it yet. We dont know the reason why prestashop is not validating, we tried to contact you through contact us link but we did not get reply, thats why we are posting here. When we opened our account at the begining you validated this themes, "http://addons.prestashop.com/en/mobile-iphone/4264-mobile-shop-smart-phone.html" , "http://addons.prestashop.com/en/high-tech/3953-electronic-shop.html" with in few days difference.

 

At the same time we have some doubts about the validation method, what is functional validation and technical validation? thanks in advance.

Hi boxpixel,

 

The validation process takes most of the time 2 weeks. So it should have been validated. You received no messages at all concerning the technical or functional validation?

 

Could you give me the name of the module you sent for validation so I can check with the Addons team?

we are waiting for more than 5 weeks now, to have our module validated.

My contribution "DressCode" validating more than 3 weeks and now still "Waiting fo functional validation". Could you please tell me something about this?

Also earlier validation has been taken less than 5 working days. What are the validators doing now?

Hi Prestashop,

 

 

I was wondering, two days before my contribution "Electronics store" was approved and appeared on the addons market, and I have some questions about this.

 

1. My theme is not displaying on front page filter. when we choose the High tech tab its there. If its not appearing on this page, the sales are very low, Can you please explain why its not appearing on the front page.

Hi prestashop,

 

What is happening in validation Team? Couple of days ago our "Camera Shop" theme is Validated and it got approved. but we cant see our theme on the front page of addons.prestashop.com, It already happened to our last theme, We complained it through forum but we did not get any response. This is the second time we are facing such issues with you, if its not appearing on the front page our sales is "zero". can you please reply to this? please find the attachment below

Hello Prestashop,

 

There is Some problem in my account, few of my Themes are not showing on the product page. Two tick marks are there in technical and marketing column, if i click the detail icon it shows "Product not found". It is also not there in products page. Its a fast moving Theme, many customers bought the same but now its not available on the products page. Few of my customers are asking the link of the Theme, Can you fix the issue and make my Theme appear as soon as possible?

Right. So we need a filter by downloads, and displaying the number of download for all themes, and this issue will be not relevant. Customers can viewing really best themes, which was downloaded a lot of times

Also this feature (filter by downloads) will stimulate contributors to create the best theme by quality. If you see to the themeforest, you notice that all theme have the best quality. It's because this marketplace has a filter by downloads, and all authors want to be in filtered list. Themes like this http://addons.presta...-RSI-panel.html you won't find on the themeforest

I created powerful theme - http://addons.presta...-Beneficia.html, put a lot time and labor, but my theme appeared on the 5 page, and don't have a sales I expected.

And now I think, what I have to do? Really cool themes but 1-2 per month, or create 30 themes per month with bad quality. If I'll create 30 theme with bad quality, you will see such situation but with my icons :)

We understand it and sorry about it, but be assured that we have planned many things to make it easier for contributors but yes it takes a bit of time to fix issues and add all the new features :).

Hi Carl,

 

That problem did not resolve yet, So we deleted our condribution from account, Because for the last two days we did not get any sales, we spend a lot of time for that theme so we disappointed, thanks in advance

Modules or Themes displayed on the homepage are not ordered by the "validation date" but by the creation date.

So if the prestateam takes a long time to validate your module/theme (just like my "all-in-one rewards" which has never been in the homepage), many others have been created after yours, and you will never be displayed...

 

Ordering by (first) validation date would be a great improvment, and/or having several pages of new modules/themes instead of just one.

Indeed and we discussed this on the other threat here, PrestaTeam promised to change this.

We asked you to solve few issues that we mentioned in our last post since that we did not get any reply from you, totally we are disappointed with your support, How long should we wait for your reply? we have already deleted two of our new themes, because you did not validate it for the last 4 weeks. we really unsatisfied.

The issue was fixed the last time I checked and your theme has been validated.

 

But now it appears as "Product not found". I have forwarded the issue to the Addons team, it should be fixed today.

 

 

UPDATE : It seems that you did not upload any zip file. Did you have any issue during theme upload?

We did not get any error while we uploaded the zip, but now we uploaded it again as you said some error in my zip file, Its saying again 8 days to validate, Should we have to wait again for 8 more days???? can you please validate as soon as possible, it is already a month old?

Why Its all reversed on addons website product sheet, all the old themes are coming on starting page, all the new themes went to last page, we do not understant how the customers can find the new products on addons website, sales also less....

We have a issue for release of our payments, we have submitted two invoices, one is we submitted 1 week ago(21st - may- 2012), and another new is we submitted last friday (25th - may - 2012), the new one is submitted with last invoice as we did not get, we combined the two invoices, can you please check it with prestashop team and let us know

We need to know one thing, two of our clients have cancelled our product which they bought on April month, What we need to know is how can they cancel the product after they get the theme zip file? How do we know that they are not using our theme?

Unfortunately, this is the eternal struggle when it comes to the sale digital products. This is the sort of thing you will likely need to resolve directly with these clients, as it is not something you can completely control otherwise. In the future though, I would recommend that you consider updating your own Terms & Conditions to include a very specific refund policy.

Unless I am following this wrong he is talking about sales from the add-on shop. Which is covered by prestashops refund policy.

 

If that is in fact the case, I will allow our Addons team to answer him directly so that he gets the most accurate and appropriate information.
