  1. I am trying to connect my Paypal account to the Prestashop Checkout. During configuring the '3 steps to start accepting payments on your store shop', step one is associating my shop with my prestashop account. I go through the process and it associates correctly. However, when I go back to the back office, expecting to be taken to Paypal to connect their, nothing happens. I just get the first screen. Does anyone know what caused this ? I did recently change the URL from a temporary one to my permanent one under the same email address. Could this be an issue ? If it is, how do I erase the first Assocation so only the correct one remains ? Prestashop 8.0.4

  3. Some how, during an upgrade, my shop changed all the Product Availability preferences to Deny orders and I'm seeing N/A in the product listings and all my quantities have been set to 0. Is there anyway to reset all the Product Availability preference to Default for all items ? Thanks Matt

  5. to Knacky, That link is old now.... being that the information in it isn't available or is of the old 2 part authentication method, not the new 3 part. To Nickz, That would work but will that email be sent to my Gmail account? The reason I like using Gmail, is all of my mail is on one place, I don't have to search through 2 or more email accounts. As for how good it looks, that's not the critical part for me anyways, but access to all mail in one location would be very handy. Matt
  6. Since the beginning of June, it looks like a lot of folks are suffering from Prestashop not being able to send out order confirmation emails, etc. I am suffering from the same problem. Customer shipping notices, password changes, etc don't work. While searching for a solution, I found that on May 30, 2022, Google stopped using 2 part authentication; meaning that username and password are not enough to get through to the SMTP. Here is the error message that comes up from within prestashop when you try and 'Test' send an email: Error: Please check your configuration Failed to authenticate on SMTP server with username "[email protected]" using 3 possible authenticators. Authenticator LOGIN returned Expected response code 235 but got code "535", with message "535-5.7.8 Username and Password not accepted. Learn more at 535 5.7.8 https://support.google.com/mail/?p=BadCredentials q29-20020a027b1d000000b00331b5a2c5d4sm10095546jac.164 - gsmtp ". Authenticator PLAIN returned Expected response code 235 but got code "535", with message "535-5.7.8 Username and Password not accepted. So has anyone come up with a solution to add a 3rd verification or what ever else Google needs to get the SMTP to work properly ? It's a bit of a pain to have everyone wonder where there product is or if they even submitted an order correctly when they don't get an email sent to them. Currently using 1.7.7.8.   7. I believe Gmail has changed their SMTP setting to require more than just username and password. But I'm still digging into this as my website doesn't send out emails anymore either (or rather I get the error message that they weren't sent). If anyone has more info on this, it would be greatly appreciated !
  8. Version 1.7.7.8 I'm setting up a multi-store, one sells new items, the other will sell pre-owned items. I have the original root category for my original store (Home), but when I create a second root category for the new store, it doesn't show up when I go to add categories to it. The drop down menu with root categories just shows the original one. Am I missing something ? Or is there any information regarding setting up categories for multi-stores ? Thanks... Matt
  9. Version 1.7.7.8 I've recently moved my store from one storage area to another on a hosts platform. This is due to me getting the wrong package to begin with that had a limited amount of file storage available. So I've uploaded the whole store to the new place, and I've created and moved the database files over to the new storage area as well. But what I would like to do, is to tell the old files what the new database name is and also the location. Does anyone know where this information is kept in the files so I can modify them to hopefully get the newly moved files up and running. Any other hints I need to know would be greatly appreciated.   10. Telling me what I should do, doesn't answer the question I asked. I need to know the cache I can empty so I can have access to my back office. Right now I'm maxed out and to migrate over I need to get rid of some files. Once I'm moved over to the new plan (no limit on files), I'll be able to run it normally.

I've already change the plan so I don't have to worry about a certain number of files, however to migrate over I need to be able to get into my back office which I can not, because I'm currently maxed out. Hence the reason to know the exact cache that I could empty to clear up some files so I can continue to work on the back office. So when you say Prestashop cache.... There are a number of them, is there any one in particular I can empty to start. I'm not worrying about website speed at the moment, I'm worrying about getting it moved over and running.
  12. Which cache is it. I've already upgraded to a different plan instead of one limited to 262K files. But it seems like it grows very quickly. Is that normal ?
  13. Version 1.7.7.8 So I have a plan with Ionos that limits me to 262144 files. I had moved my website over from another host thinking this would be better. When I first moved it over a few weeks ago, I had roughly 170,000 files. Now I've reached the limit. What would possible add so many files to the folders on my host ? I deleted a module of about 500 files, and almost immediately they were back. Is this normal ? Is there somewhere I can look to see what is doing this ? I really need this to stop if it's something that's not supposed to be doing that. Thanks.... Matt
  14. Version 1.7.7.8 I use IONOS as my host. I am limited to 262,144 files. It seems every time I delete some files and get it under that number, within minutes it's back up to the maximum. So are there any files I can delete ? Things like cache, tmp files, etc. ? I don't have lots of photo's but I do need to add more, and it also stops the website from working when it reaches it's maximum files. So any help would be greatly appreciated ! Matt
  15. Version 1.7.7.8 I've looked everywhere but I can seem to find a list of the links for the Your Account page that a customer would have access to after they've signed in. I would like to add one more link to that list. So would this be something I would add in a database file ? Or it is a hard coded in a module kind of thing ? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
