Is a copy of order or order notification supposed to be sent to seller

Question

Is a copy of order or order notification supposed to be sent to seller ? as a matter of course by Prestashop ????!

As I am not getting any emails only when paid via Paypal.

I have found and installed Mail alerts module v3.6.1 But this does not cure my problem.

Anybody any advice.

PS does not send the seller an email, only the customer.  Paypal sends you a message when you receive a new payment, but bthat has nothing to do with Prestashop

Mail Alerts is the correct module to use, however you installed the wrong version.  v3.6.1 is only for PS v1.6

I would uninstall it and delete it, and then from your back office page search for Mail and you should find the correct one for PS v1.7 (v2.1.0)

The actual module name for PS v1.7 is ps_emailalerts

Hi - Thanks for getting back.

Unfortunately the official PS module ps_emailalerts only contains a directory called 'mails' and then 'gb' and then files

new_order.txt
order_changed.html
order_changed.txt
productcoverage.html
productcoverage.txt
productoutofstock.html

I think there are a lot of files missing? But as this is what is officially supplied with PS, it seems a bit daft.

sounds like you did not install the module properly.  Is it showing as installed in your back office?  If so, uninstall it and remove the ps_emailalerts  folder entirely.

Then go to your back office, search for Mail and install the correct version.

Even stranger, found ps_emailalerts in the module directory of the classic theme.

Appreciate if someone please help enlighten me on this issue?

I have installed PS 1.7.4.2

Then installed Mail Alerts v2.1.0

Using Stripe payment module v1.5.1

Whenever customer place an order and make payment, it encountered error.

However, checking the Stripe website, the payment has been received.

PS didn't seem to capture the correct status.

And no order emails were sent to me nor the customer.

Attempting to resend Invoice email from the Order screen gives the following error message:

Oops! An Error Occurred

The server returned a "500 Internal Server Error".

Something is broken. Please let us know what you were doing when this error occurred. We will fix it as soon as possible. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
 
 
Test sending email using PHP works.
But never been able to receive the order email like what I used to in version 1.6.x.x
 
If someone can help guide me on the solution, I would be very grateful.
