I want to show you how to set up a Gmail account in Prestashop as your temporary SMTP server, which lets you easily test your email functionality, templates and related stuff. This is what I went through in a local server and I manged to get it working. Set up a new Gmail account (if you do not have any). Sign in to your account. Open BO of your Prestashop. Go under this menu "Advanced Parameters > E-mail". Find the "Email" form. Fill the form like this: Send emails to > Select "Customer Service" Radio Buttons > Select "Set my own SMTP parameters (for advanced users ONLY)" Email domain name > Let it be blank SMTP server > "smtp.gmail.com" SMTP username > Fill it with your gmail for example : my[email protected] SMTP password > Fill it with the account password (if does not work create an APP password and use that) Encryption > Select "TLS" Port > "578" Radio Buttons > Select "Both" Log emails > Select "Yes" After you have saved these, send a test email in the next form with title of "Test your email configuration". Bonjour à tous, J'aimerais supprimer certain mail que PrestaShop envoie directement aux clients comme la confirmation de paiement réussi ou le suivit de la commande car j'utilise une autre source que Prestashop pour générer ses mail. Cependant j'aimerais vraiment garder les mails automatique notamment pour les mots de passe oublier etc... Hi! This is an odd one. I noticed that "{carrier}" is used in the order_conf.html email template and new_order.html email template and when emailed, shows the name of the carrier selected for the order. I'd like to include that info in a couple of other emails the customer receives when I update order status, including the shipped.html template. Well, I figured it would be as easy as typing in "{carrier}" just like "{shop name}" etc., but for some reason it doesn't work. I'm using PS 1.5.3, is there something I need to check or edit in order to be able to do this? Thanks in advance! Elaine

Hello, I am on a fresh install of Prestashop 8.0.3. While testing my shop, I realized that I didn't receive usual transactionnal emails when buying stuff. I went to advanced setting > email and tried to send a test email. I got a 500 server error in the ajax call. Buenos días gente, estoy intentando enviar los archivos adjuntos de todos los productos que se hayan comprado, para ello lo que tengo que hacer es adjuntarlos en el $file_attachment del mensaje que se envía por correo al hacer un pedido y que lleguen al correo. El problema que tengo, es que no se como puedo recorrer los productos y a su vez recorrer los attachments que tengan estos productos para ir añadiéndolos al correo. No me sirve hacerlo mediante un producto virtual, es algo importante dejarlo claro antes. El archivo que estoy editando es el PaymentModule.php que se encuentra en la carpeta classes. A ver si alguien puede echarme una manita por favor, que no consigo solucionarlo Un saludo y gracias de antemano!

Ideally the products should appear centered and two per row. Mam problem z powiadomieniami E-mail. po zmianie statusu wyświetla mi się taka informacja: Wystąpił błąd podczas zmiany statusu zamówienia #81, lub brak możliwości wysłania wiadomości email do klienta. Czytałem, że trzeba pliki z katalogu en, przerzucić do katalogu pl. Tak zrobiłem, niestety wyskakuje ta sama informacja. Zrobiłem zamówienie testowe i mimo informacji o błędzie wysyłania emaila, są one jednak wysyłane (co pokazuje na załączonych screenach). Jednak wypadało by pozbyć się tego błędu, bo gdy wystąpi prawdziwy problem z wysyłaniem powiadomień, to nie będziemy w stanie go zauważyć.

When you edited a template url brackets " { " and " } " are replaced by %7B and %7D. Example: {weburl} changes to %7Bweburl%7D How to solve this problem? (Updated 15/07/2015) (This fix works also for cloud based web-shops!)
