Prestashop Search module find the products in the BO but not in the FO

Hello there,

I came across this interesting problem. I have my products in the test store and when I search for a term that I added in keywords and tags it is not being listed in the Front Office. But when searching for the same term in the BO search the product is being listed.
I did not add any search modules to the store. I am using PS 1.3.1 and the search module that is available is Quick Search block v1.0

Can someone please help me solve this?

I am having the same issue, search works in back office but in front office just displays a "page not found" in red.

Any ideas?

maybe search index not running. Configuration in BO->Preferences->Search?

I have tried re-building the index in the back office in the preferences tab but that does not seem to do it. On my test site I get a 404 page not found, is the search link just pointing to the wrong place? Where can I change that?

The actual error I get is the red triangle and "We're sorry, but the Web address you entered is no longer available "

Missing search file, not sure why or how it was deleted!! (Thanks Tomer!)
