Redirecting a domain name to a prestashop sit and keep domain name in address bar

Hi

 

I have 2 shops in my prestashop website

shopA is the main one

shopB the secondary

 

The www.shopB.com domain name is located on different hosting

I have setup ssl on the shopB hosting

 

I want to be able to direct www.shopB.com to the prestashop site and have www.shopB.com appear

in the address bar

I know the .htaccess file on the prestashop handles it once there

 

But i'm having issues on the initial redirect

When i type www.shopB.com it goes to the prestashop site but shows www.shopA.com in the address bar

 

Is there any command I can add to the .htaccess file on www.shopB.com hosting

to get www.shopB.com to appear in the address bar when the prestashop site is reached ?

Wait, do you mean you are using multistore?
Redirects are redirects: from one domain to the other. You can't mask it, if your shop is not multistore (that's what you need to have both domains) it will just redirect to the other url

Only if you would use frames, which has its own culprits. But prestashop itself requires to use the predefined URL.

url 'grabbers' do not work when using payment gateways like PayPal for  example...

 

this  is horrible idea you have or maybe not well explained what you want to accomplish.  it's not multishop if shop is on different hosting.

to make it clearer

 

I have prestashop setup with 2 shops with shopA.com domain and hosting

Multistore is enabled

one store is shopA.com

second store i shopA.co.uk

 

On a seperate hosting I have shopA.co.uk registered

with hosting and ssl

When someone types shopA.co.uk i want it to go to the shopA.co.uk store

and show shopA.co.uk in the address bar of the browser

Is that possible ?

Same hosting no problem, but different host? Bad joke unless you direct your domain by dns to the server where prestashop is running.
