Prestashop 1.7: How can I hide the label (tax excl.) in the shopping carts?

Store not VAT registered, no legal need to add any form of tax to prices. However, selecting No Tax rule in Basic Settings > Price still shows the label "(tax exlc.)" in both the pop-up and the normal shopping cart.

This doesn't make sense because customer is left wondering if tax is excluded, at what stage will it be applied?

Someone suggested deselecting the option for "Display tax label (e.g. "Tax incl.")" for countries but it has no effect if I deselect it for United Kingdom.

Is there a method for hiding it but at the same time show the prefix Total in the shopping carts?

I tried adding the following style to CSS but then "Total" also is hidden:

div.cart-summary-line.cart-total .label {
display: none; }

Thanks.

Hi

I had the same issue but followed the advice above.

I went to;

International/Translations/

Theme Translation

Classic Theme

English

Entered VAT excl. in the search bar and went to the bottom of the expanded tree and selected Global.

The one I edited is called ShopThemeGlobal

Go to the end of the text VAT excl. and enter a space

Move back to the left of the space and delete the VAT excl. text

Hit Save.

Still working out how to get rid of VAT excluded from the product page..........

regards

Trevor
