Remove Shipping for Non-Registered Customers

 

I have scoured the web and read all kinds of post both on here and elsewhere on this subject.

Most of them are either incomplete or out of date and do not apply to Prestashop 1.6 xx

 

This seems like such a fundamental thing I cant believe there isn't a simple option checkbox for this in the back office.

 

You set a default country and price, but this is literally just a guide rate until the user supplies some address details, at which point the shipping rate will change and be accurate. So whats the point in showing any shipping rate before this stage?

 

Does anybody know a way to get around this anomaly with either accurate prestashop 1.6 coding or module please?

Yeah, in your carrier, just disable the visitor group, it will hide that method for non registered users

If i disable both visitor and guest in the only available carrier, it still shows the shipping cost?

Somethings obviously wrong.

 

I dont have smarty cache running and am clearing browser cache and cookies.

Hi, I solved this shipping issue for logged and non-logged with this module.  

 

PrestaShop Module Shipping Commander

 

 

Now  rather than hide your shipping you can now actually promote your shipping options to visitors as well as non-logged visitors.
