akps1234 Posted May 15, 2016 Share Posted May 15, 2016 (edited) Hi there, After recently upgrading the PS version from 1.6.1.4 to 1.6.1.5 I found out that there is an extra ghost carrier named "null" with "Free" shipping that appears in the "Carrier List" table below the available registered Carriers. It shows up only in Step 1 "Shopping-Cart Summary" page of 5-step Order Checkout, and not in page Step 4 "Shipping" See the print screen below. akps1234 Posted May 16, 2016 Author Share Posted May 16, 2016 Hi Nemo1, I was able to check out the ps_carrier database. Everything seems to be OK. There is no carrier with the name "null". It contains only the records of the registered carriers. So, it seems that it's not where the problem is. I'll keep digging. Will appreciate any advice you might have on this subject. akps1234 Posted May 19, 2016 Author Share Posted May 19, 2016 Hi Nemo1, Just wanted to thank you for your advice to look up in the database files. I'm using the custom shipping module, btw. Although I didn't find the corrupted carrier line in the ps_carrier table or custom shipping module, restoring to the previous version of database, solved the issue with the Ghost carrier. andrew Posted October 24, 2017 Share Posted October 24, 2017 Hi we are also having similar - its when we have products which can not be shipped using certain carriers (rather than coming up with no carrier - it looks like this) Would you say it was the same thing? It also happened after updating to 1.6.1.5 (from 1.5 - where all was OK) Was it only the database you restored - or some code too?
