Hello, if you look here

you'll see that the category image is small and not wide as the little black row above it. I've uploaded the image wide as the black row but it appear shrinked.

 

Can someone tell me how to fix this?

Prestashop adds white space around image if it has different proportions compared to what is set in images settings.

 

You should consider uploading an image with correct proportions or using a cropping module like "Perfect Thumbnails".

The image you uploaded is too small.

Image size should be  697.5 X 174 .

Hello, sorry but you're wrong. The image uploaded is 878 x 350 and PS shrink it, that's why I've asked here... Edited May 5, 2016 by andreamarucci (see edit history)

Thank you. I can edit the image as I want but how can I know the exact proportion to make it 100 wide?

Your image is 870 x 217 px, with white edges. For screen width >1200 px is shown 1:1, without shrinking.
