Email Sent To Admin When Order Is Placed

I would like my shop to send an email to the shop email everytime an order is place.

Is this a setting inside PrestaShop?

if you set the email correctly, yes it will send the store owner if an order is placed.

How do you modify the e-mail that is sent for new orders? I need to change the colors, but I can't quite figure it out.

edit: Found it - It's the HTML files inside /prestashop/modules/mailalerts/mails/en/

I am trying to apply that, but still no email coming.
I've set the email correctly, when there is message from contact from, I can receive the message.
Is there any delay to receive the message?

Some servers are configured in a way that you need to modify PrestaShop for emails to work. Try following the steps here.

Buyers get email, but I don´t.

Have done this:

Back Office >> Employees >> Contacts (set my email)
Back Office >> Preferences >> Email (set my email server)

Buyers can send me email via contact form and they receive their orders. But I don't get ANY mail regarding their orders

Hi Cendez, if you have installed the module Mail Alerts, in Preferences->Email, you don't have to set any email, you're only required to select form the dropdown. Hope this help you =)

nope, ...everything is currently alright. I can send a test email (And I receive the test mail), and my customer receives order & confirmation mail.

but I, the storeowner, does not receive any mail... so when a new order is placed, I do not receive any information about that.

Can anyone help ?

Just had the same issue. Please check if you have an email template for shop language. There are 3 languages (en, es, fr) in standard package. Put appropriate templates for your lang if you using different language in your shop. The templates located in /modules/mailalerts/mails/.

Just had the same issue. I have everything fine in BO (Advanced Parameters > E-mail , Customer > Contacts, etc, mail system PHP) I have the language directory under /modules/mailalerts/mails/ (it's a non-engilsh shop).

 

The last thing what was missing: (I don't know why, my shop is upgraded from 1.4.7-1.5.0.17-1.5.4.1) Transplant the mailalert module to actionValidateOrder hook (you should enable "Display non-positionable hooks") found in this forum http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/240327-solved-email-order-confirmation/?do=findComment&comment=1186986
