How to separate/move/hide blocks from left and right side column?

I've just started with prestashop. Its a nice one to be honest.

My Questions:

1. How to separate/move/hide a block(example "Categories", "Cart") from left/right column. For example i want to move the "categories" block from left column to right coloumn.

2. {$HOOK_HEADER}, {$HOOK_LEFT_COLUMN}: How this tag created? Can i create one? Where can i find the all HOOK list?

3. {$HOOK_HEADER} has several components like "currency", "language" and others. Can i create my own or modify exiting {$HOOK_HEADER} by including or exclusing more components.

Sorry if the questions are funny. I've started with presta.

i don't find Click Transplant a module. as in PS wiki

Go to Back Office >> Modules
Click Positions, located in the upper-left corner of the Modules page.
Click Transplant a module.
In the Module drop-down list, select the module you want to transplant.

If there is not any problem with installation or permissions button should be there.
Also maybe is translation error, try to change language in Back office.

thank you for your replay . the drop down list don't works.

i just want move the Rsss Feed block to right collum but when i modify the codes of blockrss.php as in the PS wiki , the whole website crashed down. i don't know how to fix it.

Hello,

I have the same problem: The drop-down selections are grey and don't work.
What am I doing wrong?
This means I van't transplant any block.
(Language = dutch)

You must click "Transplant a module", not the edit button next to a module. See here.

Hey guys I'm doing the same thing, transplanting 'wishlist' and 'top sellers' to the left column. I did it using 'Transplant a module' but now I have these modules in both columns!! left and right, I don't know what to do.

You must go to Modules > Positions and click the X next to the modules in the "Right column blocks" section.
