On Prestashop you can install only addons bought on the addons site. If your module is not listed there it is not developed from a certified developer and cannt be installed on Prestashop Cloud.

 

If you make your shop dependent of this payment option, you should not use Prestasho Cloud and host your project on any paid hosting provider of your choice, or you can try to convice Prestashop Team that this payment solution is a must have, like it was done here: https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/401361-ideal-payment-modules/

Digged a little deeper.

 

Seems like there is one option for now including Dutch IDEAL and that's Hipay.

Depending on your country, you can use Prestashop Payments. This module has iDeal payments (as many others).

If you are in Netherlands, it will be available in a few days, we are finishing the translations.

I am doing research as to which module would be best to use if my webshop needs iDEAL, and I stumbled onto this post. 

Can you be more specific as to which module "Prestashop Payments" is? When I search for it on addons.prestashop.com or in the backend of Prestashop I cannot find a module with that name.

This module is today only available in a few countries. Netherlands and some more are the next step, almost ready but still not, for a question of translation.

I guess in some time, ideal will disappear seeing what all the other payment services provide.

But if iDeal is so used per merchants, there might be some reasons. I've never used it but there should some advantages even if it's more expensive, no ?

As far as I see it, there is a consumer trust build and a banking sectors interest. - I was happy to pay a higher rate trust me.
