Hello.

We received a email from PayPal:

On Tuesday, 14/10/2014, details were released about a vulnerability to version 3 of Secure Sockets Layer (SSL 3.0). Since that time, PayPal has been hard at work to mitigate any potential impact on our consumers and merchant customers.

If you’re still in the process of making the change, you’ll be glad to know that we’ve recently found a short-term solution that will allow us to extend support to most of SSL 3.0 until 12/01/2015 at 8.01am Greenwich Mean Time. This extension is possible because beginning 03/12/2014 we’re reducing support of SSL 3.0 to only versions that are not currently vulnerable to POODLE. Following this interim step, we’ll fully disable support for SSL 3.0 on 12/01/2015 at 8.01am Greenwich Mean Time.

If your business is in the process of upgrading, we encourage you to make this change as quickly as possible as new vulnerabilities could impact SSL 3.0.

We have prepared detailed materials to help businesses understand how to upgrade their integration. You can find the online guide on our site dedicated to keeping you updated on the POODLE SSL 3.0 vulnerability. We also encourage anyone with questions or requiring help to reach out to their web developer or to contact our Merchant Technical Support.

Additional information: PayPal Forward, our Twitter handle, Customer Service and for merchants, through our Merchant Services team.

Thank you for your understanding and your business.

We have PayPal v3.7.2 by PrestaShop Officiall module.

PrestaShop version 1.6.0.9

Is this module vulnerable to POODLE? And if no, why did we get this message from PayPal?

I also see another module such as PayPal Europe and two forum topics for it:

1. PayPal Modification SSL V3 to TLS

2. [important] Deadline for MAJ PayPal Europe module: January 12, 2015

I didn't find any such topics about our module.
