somewhere it went wrong with transfer the files

or with the chmod settings

some servers give an error when the rights arent good

www.hashmistore.com/prestashop/install/

should be enough to get the install

look into your server error log. to see the error

Hi

you got indeed init.php but this is not the install file

index.php does start this

(index.htm - index.html or index.php are always the files what can start automaticly)

to install prestashop

donwload the version you want

unzip all the files

create the folder where you want the files in

copen your ftp click on the unzipped folder til you see all the folders and files from prestashop

select all and upload these files into the folder you created on your hosting

when you go to www.yourdomain.com/your-folder/install/

it shoud start to run the install

hi

no init.php  isnt the install install need this file  ;)

he was writing that he got an error that init.php don't excist :

he showed this error :

Warning: require_once(/misc/34/000/151/542/1/user/web/yourswimplatforms.com/cspstore/install/init.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /misc/34/000/151/542/1/user/web/yourswimplatforms.com/cspstore/install/index.php on line 27

this error shows that init.php doesn't excist

cause he forgot to upload  this init.php and many other files  ^_^

this is why they where talking about init.php

watch this instruction video

http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/367559-official-video-tutorial-installing-prestashop-on-your-server/

edit : use fillezilla this is a very easy to use ftp client
