webmaster1989
Running PS 1.5.3.1 During trial runs prior to opening shop for classmates, after adding items to the cart and clicking "checkout", the next page states that the cart is empty. Why? Using the blockcart module
NemoPS
What happens if you just refresh the page? If the item preserved? Also, are you using any override? It seems like a cookie issue to me, would you be able to share the site's url?
webmaster1989
Refreshing still states that the cart is empty, yet when you go back to the "shop" the indicator states that's there's still items in the cart. Have not modified the cart module, no overrides. https://www.eesclassof89.com/89Store
El Patron
ave maria pues... first I would suggest using attributes rather than custom text to determine shirt size....that's a mess...please search 'using' google for how to set up simple shirt size for products. I can add a product to cart (after I find the product customize tab) and fill in the shirt size I can click on cart and check out, well to a point There is no carrier, i.e. this probably should be a virtual product then no carrier is required and I assume the t-shirt is free shipping, try as virtual product. because there is no carrier, there is no payment method... Note: I did not 'lose' the product from cart. Cheers, el
NemoPS
I only get a message that says to fill the customization, so the product can't be added to cart from the list. I second el patron!
webmaster1989
I'm certain everything I've placed in the "shop" was set up as a virtual item, but I will double check each of them to make sure, then set up the attributes as you suggested, El Patron. Any more issues, I'll be right back!
webmaster1989
I've set everything back to 'Product', as you can't set attributes to Virtual Products. Still had same problem with the cart. Set carrier to Shop (pickup). Same problem. Tried to edit shop, now getting "An error occurred while updating object. carrier"
El Patron
uhm...do you download anything from your virtual product? i.e. is there an associated download attached to the product?
webmaster1989
No. All this shop is supposed to do is allow my classmates to register and pay their dues for our 25th Reunion in May. I had the products set as virtual products because of that. I have since switched the items back to products, set shipping (pickup only), etc., and still get the problem of cart saying it's empty when checking out, but still showing items in cart on any other page. El Patron
I like that product much better, i.e. attribute sizes...much less confusting... ....I don't have your issue of losing product in cart or being unable to check out other than there is no payment type. add bank check or other 'pay later' module that comes with your native prestashop to move past payment choice. webmaster1989
The PayPal module is installed and enabled, which is the only method of payment we're taking online.
El Patron
I did not properly 'sign in' register that is why I didn't see paypal....doh! Here is what I get (using firefox please clear your browse cookies and cache be retesting) also when I returned to the shop from screen below the product was still in the cart so am unable to reproduce the lost product cart you originally posted. http://screencast.com/t/pz16cjGUdV
webmaster1989
Using a different computer (still original issue on this one, even with clearing cookies and cache), I got as far as you did with the PayPal error. Now to see if those idiots will respond (saw a thread with the same problem from 4 years ago that still hasn't been resolved). Thanks for all your help, guys. webmaster1989
Had it asked for the account's e-mail address, I would have entered that. I have the Business name there. D'oh! Let me go change it and see what happens...
