Catalog > Product = Bad SQL Query Column....

I have 1.5.5.0, after click Catalog -> product

it showes error :

• Bad SQL query
  Column 'quantity' in order clause is ambiguous
   

Anyone know how to fix this?

Did you activate the full error reporting? (as my signature says)

 

If so, can you print the full error stack?

hello

it's because your sql query has got JOINS and two or more tables has got quantity field.

you have to use alias.quantity in SELECT / WHERE clause

 

please give us more info about in what query you've got this problem.

It seems to have solved by itself after 1 day.

I have the same problem but after clicking customers

I deleted cookies in my browser and it fixed it.

 

I got that error by sorting quantity ascending in the back end and it happens each time.

yeah.. exactly the same error.

 

If I repeat the sort ascending on the back office under catalog > product I get the same error.  And if I delete the cookies the error goes away.

Yea, easy fix.

 

These are the steps I took:

 

1. Log into back end (admin).

2. Click on Catalog > Products Tab.

3. On the product fields under quantities click the sort ascending "^".

4. Change the number of products displaying.

5. Then I get the error.

 

Also, hitting "back" button right away and resetting the filters gets you out of that error.
