Error when I try to install PayPal, other modules works fine.

Hello,
I've made my shop in PrestaShop 1.5.4.1, and I haven't upgraded, but all other modules works fine.
When I download the PayPal module (The zip archive) and upload it agian, it says that it was successfully uploaded, and it pops up on the list. Here is where the problem is, when I try to install, it just keep giving me these two errors.

2 errors

1. The '.$folder.' you uploaded is not a module
2. Module not found.

Anyone who has any idea why this happens? I am just stuck at this point

Hey buddy - i had the same issue. I had noticed there was no paypalusa folder in my modules folder. I copied it over from a previous version of prestashop and it worked and installed for me! There is also a post here http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/239025-1531-impossible-to-add-the-product-to-the-cart-after-paypal-module-update/ if you don't have a copy of the module.

maybe this will help:

 

if you 'upload' module via ftp you  must first 'unzip' the file.

 

a better way would be to install the downloaded module from the back office 'zipped file'  PrestaShop will  then unzip it for you

as far as i remember this problem was also realted to the database,

try to remove module from database (you can do it manually in ps_modules tab)
