Remove 'our stores' link from 'Information' block on left hand side

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I've searched this forum and ive managed to remove the 'Our Stores' block that was on the right hand column (with the random picture of the building ). I've also managed to remove it from the bottom bar.

However, I can figure out how to remove it from the 'Information' section on the right hand column?

Any ideas please?

thanks

P.S Why does everything have to be so complicated in prestashop? The front end is great but the back end is so over complicated its unreal and needs a serious overhaul to make it more user freindly. Why should i have to spend an hour searching forums just to disable on section 'our stores' from 3 seperate places? Why cant I find the 'our stores' link and be able to simply choose what parts of the page to display it on?? grrrrr

My CMS Block configuration shows nothing after "CMS Blocks", only the footer configuration. Nor can I "Add New" as it won't let me save since the section called "CMS Content" is blank (meaning there are no pages to check!). The "Our Stores" link does NOT show in the bottom nav, but it still shows in the left nav CMS block.

I even tried disabling the Store Locator block entirely. I am at my wits end here. I can't go live with such a blatant error on my front page and I really need to go live before Thanksgiving...

In PS v1.7, configure the Link List module and uncheck the Stores page.  That will remove it from the footer block

As for the Sitemap, looks like Our Stores is hard coded in the SitemapController.  You would have to edit the core controller, or override the controller and remove that entry.

        $links[] = array(
            'id' => 'stores-page',
            'label' => $this->trans('Our stores', array(), 'Shop.Theme.Global'),
            'url' => $this->context->link->getPageLink('stores'),
        );
