benjamin utterback
Hi, is the current module code not updated? When did the code update? I think the last time google's analytic code was updated was last year sometime.
Spidersiteme
Hi Benjamin, That's what I thought to but for some reason is not. its using an out-dated Google Analytics snippet which is causing unnecessary delays to the content rendering ( Or maybe I'm using the older version of the module) Google Analytics asynchronously The newest version of the Google Analytics snippet uses asynchronous JavaScript. Dh42
The current version from the git, which hasn't been updated in months is using it. I checked one a couple of sites I have launched and they are using it. https://github.com/PrestaShop/PrestaShop-modules/blob/master/ganalytics/header.tpl Check line 38.

Dh42
That module does not actually ship with prestashop, so it depends on when you installed prestashop and installed the module as to what version you have.
GrandNagus
The analytics module is doing something odd which is messing with my goals. I'm using Paypal and Bank Wire as the accepted payment methods. Paypal works ok as I can set the goal to start with "/module/paypal/submit" and each conversion start with this then a unique string. However bank wire confirmation page is getting the url information wrong. After submitting a bank wire the confirmation page is "/order-confirmation.....etc with a unique string. That's all good except that page never registers in analytics. If you look at the source code on the confirmation page the analytics shows the page as "/order/step0.html". This is wrong and not the actual confirmation page. If you set the goal to "/order/step0.html" you get false conversions. The bank wire previously used its own confirmation page and it worked fine. But in the latest version 1.5.6.1 it uses the generic confirmation page which according to the text in the php file is deprecated in version 1.5.0? Any ideas what the issue is here? Thanks
benjamin utterback
Hey rhack, try this solution out in this thread. Let me know how it goes, and I obviously need to mention to backup all files before you make changes. http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/283749-google-analytics-required-changes/ Hope this helps. GrandNagus
Hi, I downloaded the file but no it did not work sorry. After trying the new code it did not track the confirmation page at all? ie the page does not show in analytics at all. Any other suggestion? miradoro
can i just copy googles code in the header without installing modules? I just tried and my site went blank
vekia
you can copy code to your header.tpl file, use also {literal}{/literal} tags because google analytics tracking code uses brackets.
