[SOLVED] Customization to email templates - is this possible?

Hi,

I have fully customized the text of the status emails (such as payment received) but I am not having any luck altering the colors in these emails.

When I alter the colors using an HTML editor like Frontpage, they seem to reset to a default set of colors when the emails go out.

Where is the code that generates or controls the colors of these emails? I am especially interested in changing the background color.

Not only colors are controlled by CSS but every item in the designing is controlled by CSS.(Cascading style Sheet)

Saleem, in the emails case is not true - style is in-line and embedded in the email

unfortunately if you need to alter the colors of every email you need to edit every email one by one - you can try a batch search/replace tool - just make sure you don't edit other files too.

where are these files located?

look for the "mail" folder - you will need to navigate into the sub folders - one is EN (for English), and the other FR (French).
