meccabooks
I am trying to create a Kindle style app, which will be connected to my bookstore, where I will be selling ebooks. Customer will be able to purchase the ebook on my website, and be able access it through my app. 1- I want to know what kind of things (Security wise) I should be worried about, so people can not have access to any of the files on my website. 2- I don't want to provide a download link the way it is provided now. 3- Is there a way that once a person logins to my app, they will be able to see all thier e-books purchases. meccabooks
I don't want to use PDF files, I will be using ePub / indesign format. Keep it very close to iBookstore and kindle books.
Dh42
Using their software to make the ebooks is a good idea, but it really needs to be served from their platform. Using any 3rd party solution you are going to lose the drm. Go without drm, you can still make great money,

meccabooks
Is there any other software beside adobe, or opensource solution, where I am able to use DRM and control the number of downloads/ devices.
benjamin utterback
Hello meccabooks, to control the number of devices, you would need a drm. You can read about "open-soure" drm's at this link .
