Ion_Cannon
Does this feature integrate with the Catalog section as a Tab or is it within the Modules tab or just a new tab in the back office?

babyewok
I have just bought this module and on first try out I noticed that if I edit the quantity of an attribute, then although the overal total for that product is updated in the product details, it is NOT updated on the bulk updater. For example, going with the iPod Nano example, each attribute has 50 items in stock, giving the total qty of 800. If I use the bulk updater to change the quantity of one of the attributres to 10, the item is updated and the total quantity noe shows as 760. HOWEVER, when I open the bulk updater, the iPod Nano product still has a qty of 800.Secondly, is it really wise to even list products that have attributes under the product list for the updater? Surely you should only be able to update the quantities for the attributes NOT the overall product quantity (this is how prestashop does it - the qty box on the product info is 'disabled' and you can only update the qty of the individual attributes). How would I edit the php file so that it doesn't list products that have attributes under 'products' but still lists the attributes for that product under 'attributes'? Or at the very least, how can I make the total for the product update correctly and 'disable' the field if it has attributes?

Good ideas for improvements, I will see if we can add these changes during the week. ofcourse everyone who has bought the module have free access to updates. ruilong
Thanks. Will you update this thread when you have added these changes? Where will we be able to access free updates? yes I can make sure to update this thread and I will include information in a newsletter from the shop also. I will probobly just replace the module zip file, so "all you have to do" is download it again when the update is availible.
Hoodgrown
What is the difference between this module and the mass update module?
ruilong
What is the difference between this module and the mass update module? the other module, (i guess you are talking about the buld editor for orders?) is for updating orderstatus and setting shipping number on several orders at the sametime. Hoodgrown
I was referring to this one:http://www.prestashop.com/forums/viewthread/14679/modules/mass_update_module
Ion_Cannon
The major difference is that this updater adds a tab in the catalog section. This is good if you have say, employees who you do not want to give access to the modules section. I installed this updater and like it. I had to add some additional fields to suit my store but it's exactly what I need for inventory management. I'd like to be able to print out an inventory report from the bulk updater that has the same view but I will not worry about that yet.
Hoodgrown
Good to know. I was going to purchase this but I held off because it looked just like the Mass Update module.Question, does it break long list of products down into pages? So that you don't have one long page with a ton of products?
Ion_Cannon
Yeah, it does break the pages down. No long list. Works similar to just looking at the products in each category. You can change in the code how many each screen displays also but make sure you know what you are doing.
Hoodgrown
Thanks, you convinced me.. i'll be picking this up next week...
ruilong
New version have been released, all of you who have already bought it can just redownload from the store to get the latest version (1.2) of the bulk updater. (news attributeadjustment hook is triggered when updating the attributes, so amount on base product is set, it dosn't list products that have attributes in the "product list".) Also, some of you have been discussing about longer lists.. I did some testing with this, but it caused some problems with too much data being posted. Feel free to try, the amounts in the dropdownboxes for articles per page can be set in the first 10 lines of the code (currently it has 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50). babyewok
How can I get the price to show with only two decimal places? I also want to change that on the actual product page in the catalogue as it displays pre-tax wholesale, pre-tax retail and retail with tax with 6 decimal places.
