Front office - http://localhost/ problem

Recommended Posts

I am running Windows and Wamp 2 Server to host my website from home.

The problem I am having is after installing PrestaShop - each time I go to my domain name from a different internet connection (ISP) not from server (home), it will change url to http://localhost/ and will show "Web page not available". I dont know how to get around this. Is there something I can do to change it back and allow it to open up the index.php from my server? However, when I enter the "ipaddress"/admincpl in the url, the admin page works. It is the front office that is not working.

From the server, if I open the browser and go to http://localhost/ I can see front office.

Help....

I think when you installed your store, you used the localhost.

You must change "Shop domain name" to your real domain name at back office - preferences tab - SEO & URLs

after that it should work fine.

If in case you are not able to change that from back office, please see it here for more detail on how to change it in database directly.
