It lacks some major features like a decent layered navigation and advanced search, a product export script and other things. That's what this topic is about. Rjim781 Posted September 3, 2011 Share Posted September 3, 2011 How about an install where case does not matter in URLs or directory names or config files, where the used modules are detected from a previous version and automatically copied as needed in an upgrade. How about a link to the back office as well as front office after an upgrade? Seems silly but for newbies is a big help. LIST the URL for FO and BO after install clearly. If you recommend adding a the pestashop directory tell users how to avoid it in their URLS. Improve import features : show some existing table data of table to be updated or replaced. Add a simple remove product box (allow cut and paste or file import) with just the product ID that will be completely deleted. (And really delete all the connections to the products all lang descriptions, combos etc) Make a banner ad module: drop your own banner ads into it and have it shared with other PRESTA sites that allow it. (I just spent many quality hours with the upgrade) I am running 1.44 now and like it a lot. The upgrade was a pain more testing of the install is needed. I realize the money is made on modules like advance search etc. that are out there and don't expect everything. But base level install and startup should be clean and simple and error free.
