Please help!!

My shop was looking fab on 1.3.. i was pretty much there except the theme wasn't working with the one page check out... so i had to upgrade. the problem is, the products flash up briefly in each catergory page then disappear - they stay on the home page - they look faded but if you're quick you can open them an the product appears fine!! I'm not a developer so my limited skills are no use to me!

the site is at www.prettyspecialcards.co.uk/shop

Thanks in advance to anyone who can figure this one out!!!

Had the same problem when upgraded to 1.4.4.

Personally i went back to 1.4.3 where i do not have any problems (one page check out works fine as well).

Hopefully someone can help how to solve the problem with 1.4.4 in order to use the most recent release.

Well its not the first buggy time presta has set me back.. I've just spent the morning trying to attempt to use 1.4.3 instead and it hasn't fixed the error and has actually changed up the layout. I'm at my wits end with prestashop.

Please can anyone help with this before i give up completely with this software??

Go to preferences...> performance.

Change force recompile to ON

change cache to OFF

SAVE

Change all CCC setings to opposite setting to what you currently have.

SAVE

Change cache to OFF

SAVE

Refresh your website and it should be fixed.

Return all above settings to previous.

The step above forces the cached data to be dumped and your website will be restored to full functionality. I'm surprised this step to force clearing the cache is not documented as a step in the upgrade.

thanks for that tip i had the same problem and now its fixed

any idea what that mod actually does to cause this probleM? and do we need it

Ditto here - block layered has caused other problems too - especially with modded themes. Can anyone clarify what it actually is supposed to do?

Solved similarly as above, by deleting the blocklayered directory from MODULES.
