Change background color in CLASSIC theme

Any tips on where to look to change the background color in the classic theme?

Thank you, that is exactly what I was looking to do. For some reason however, I cannot find that in /public_html/themes/classic-rocket/assets/css/custom.css?action=edit. Am I looking in the correct place?

Yes this is the correct path. You have to edit it by FTP or SSH, not sure where the ?action=edit is coming from in your example

What about the outer part? There is still a part of the page different background.

Use the inspect function (right click on the element) in your browser to identify the correpsonding CSS selector

Indeed, nice module but it does not have the option to change background color; only background image.

Have you edited in the various css files most themes offer?

Also clear out caches leaving the index.php files intact.

Not sure what you mean.

I use the classicrocket theme without modification.

Yes, I cleared cache.

There are various css files, check with f12 and inspect element which css is invloved and edit also the scss files.

Never edit your themes css files, you will loose it with a theme update! Do all css changes in the custom.css file

You do as you please, to see changes edits in the css are totally OK.

You can use this module  to add custom css without edit the template file ,

 

It is better to put css in custom.css or any module, which will help you to keep your changes when update theme

Incredible, nearly a week searching and going by the feedback here and I finally found it! It was in a completely different file: /assets/css/theme.css.

Allmost all theme css is in this file. Nevertheless you should not change it - do your adjustments in custom.css, it will overrule the themes default and is safe for theme upgrades
