Hi all,

as there is an "Spelling mistake" in the other posting, I reduce the text and ask again.

MainQuestion:

I need to add pdf invoice to the confirmation Mail.
Couldn't find anything in documentation/ google.
Is there a setting for this? I should change php-code? Or any modul?

....

A general question:
My experience in online shopping online is, that I get an e-Mail with a PDF-Invoice.
How is your experience and,If you are a developer/freelancer/agency : How often your clients ask
for the feature "Invoice PDF"?

Yours
Daniel

Thanks ComGrafPL,

step by step.

There are 3 Questions:

1) Is there a setting for this?
If there exist a setting area in Prestashop I couldn' find, please help me to find it.
If there is no setting in the default installation of Prestashop please answer: No.

2) I should change php-code?
I understand you in the way: no need to change.

3) Or any modul?
I understand "Fastest way in module", that where is a module for "Invoice PDF".
Is this correkt?

Which Module you can recommend?
Can you send a link?

::: EDIT 1 ::::

I found this: https://devdocs.prestashop.com/1.7/modules/concepts/pdf/

Yes, its true: "Working on what make a shop an unique experience, as a Developer you will be asked to customize every PDF files that PrestaShop can produce."

But before "customize" I like to send the PDF in the Mail.
First sending, later make beautiful ;)

Anybody know the URL for a documentation How to put in sending PDF by mail?

I searched in google again. It seems that Prestashop cannot attach PDF to mails by default.
Thats correkt?

yours
Daniel

Hi Musicmaker,

I changed the settings in "preparation" and "bankwire" and checked the ckeckbox to attach the PDF.
What else do I need to do, to get an attached PDF. I made a test-order and get the Mails.
But there was no attached PDF.

If this is a "cache-subject" it would help, if we have a list in which we can see which "setting-change" requires a deletion of the cache.

Hi Musicmaster,

its: 1.7.7.8

Could be its the wrong "Status" ("Shop Parameters -> Order Settings -> Statuses (second tab")
I did the checkbox "on".

I did it here:

pdf1.JPG.181400c2dcc266d585e6e59dc84c31b9.JPG

and here:

pdf2.JPG.ef2e2fc3cac738c2bafa1aed2edb2277.JPG

To make a order test, I created a user inside a new User-Group. But inside this User-Group is nothing to block any PDF-sending.
I can see something like "Autorisierte Module" but there is nothing about "PDF".
As Mailclient I use Thunderbird. If there is a blocking of external content, normaly you can see a warning-text.

Is there any kind of internal logg-history in Presta there i could find a row like "PDF-Attachment send by mail"?
::: EDIT  1:::

Now I tried this modul:

https://addons.prestashop.com/demo/FO13778.html

I hoped to get a PDF Invoice by testing the modul on the Demoshop

But also I did not get any PDF:

pdf4.thumb.JPG.6fb2a16649736d51bc187eca5f50ed18.JPG

After this I send an PDF-Attachment to my Mailaccount.
Its looks like this:

pdf5.JPG.669470eb74326b1909c98f32ba18e4fa.JPG

In Thunderbird you see a Paper clip.

::::: EDIT 2 ::::::

What does this mean?

pdf6.thumb.JPG.5680865e4bce640d2a4bc9395e2582f7.JPG

When I klick on "Dokumente" there is a button "create invoice".
I thought the invoice will be created automaticly and attached as a PDF to the confirmation Mail.
Please help me. I can not understand the interrelationships.

::: END EDIT 2 :::::

yours,
DAniel
