Hi, I run PS 1-5 beta on dedicated server with all the optimizations I could do (like memcache, fast sql engine, 2 x 4 cores 3.4GHz cpu, 16Gb RMA). I wonder how fast the shop will perform when I put about 1000 items, with a lot of pictures, many languages, currencies, a bunch of extra modules, 3-4 shops and 2-3 warehouses/stocks. This is what I will need to use PS... What I'm very interested in is if there can be done more optimizations for DB ? My experience from Ms SQL webshops are that DB indexing can do really huge differences. Also Stored Procedures offers big performance gains in my case. Maybe there is some more ways for us with own servers to do more ? I hope PS team can offer us some clues, do you hear this PS team ? Would be great if other "power useres" can share their experiences and tricks here. Both hardware and software.

Hi shoulders, I like this idea as well. But this shoud be a standard module with settings how to act when an item is out of stock/s. Those settings should be global and on product level. Also imagine having several stocks (warehouses). And one shop could ship from all warehouses.How to handle it in that case? And some products may be only temporary out of stock, customers should be able to pre-order them even when out of stock. Other products may never come back to stock (outgoing, old products). A modul capable of handling all those settings and cases would be very welcome.

Seems that this is a bug... I created one discount. I deleted it. After this the "prices" page is just entirely empty and it's not possible to add or edit any prides. also all left menus are inactive. Enybody else have same problem ?

When editing prices and discounts, it shoudkl be possible to edit "specific prices for clients belonging to different groups, different countries...". Right now I must delete teh discount and enter again, when having many qty disconts adjusting the prices for all dicsounts is very time consuming. If there is no other way ofg course I missed...

You should also put link on the item edit page to stock management page. I feel this is really good idea to make it more usefriendly.

I coudln't due to "You can't change the value of this configuration field in this shop context". Solved now! Select "all shops" in the top right list..

There is same needs for Swedish and polish markets. Those are very handy features for all users and markerts. I see forward a module for this. Will be glad to help.

I would like to request quite basic feature on BackOffice: settings for ordernr. At lest to be able to enter next ordernr, but more optimal settings coudl be like this: - how many digits, example 12345, or 00001 - add one for each new order OR random - enter next order nr - auto prefix: a) none fixed text ____ c) date yymmdd c) - prefix divider a) none - - auto suffix: a) none fixed text ____ c) date yymmdd c) - suffix divider a) none - I should also be possible to make those settings individually for each shop (in multishop scenario) What do you think about this ?

I'm tring to test those features but there is no "Stock" meny choice in the PS 1.5.3 b (compared to v.14), what did I miss ? How to set up advanced stock managenet with several shops and severals warehouses on different locations ? Thanks.

Hi 4ps, I'm in same situation. The potencial is great. After seting up adedicated PS optimized server I managed to rise the speed of PS. It's very good system, I hope to be able to contribute with our custom modules and sugestions. Right now we are asking clients to hold until this summer before we can offer them help setting up and customization of prestashop 1.5 I will set up the first pilot project shop as soon the RC1 is ready. I hope it will be in february. Maybe to optimistic

Does old themes work on this new version ?

If I'm right there is a setting how to show price, with how many digits, rounded up/down. But I agree, entering prices (both buy and sell price) including vat/tax would be great and make life easier for many.

Any idea how close you are to next beta release or RC ?

I agree, good work for team prestashop! OC is quite old and completely free, maybe that's why it have many users. PS is really more professional solution, great many good modules and easy of use. In reality it will not be completely free but I rather use my time to make money and get more customers than try to get all for free and loose time.
