helgvor_stoll
Hi,I'm not sure to be at the right place but I'm coming back to Prestashop on this new version. I have some suggestions concerning it:* In AdminCarts.php, won't it be more useful to keep the 'orderby' field to true in the total fieldsdisplay array? I think that it's important and/or useful to order the cart by the total amount.* At the same time, a cart should be deletable. In my previous website (Prestashop 1.2.5), i had several Acunetix scans which created a lot of generic carts. It would have been very useful to have a delete button in the grid actions instead of deleting these carts directly from the data tables. We can so find other uses for this, no only deleting carts after an Acunetix action.* In the AdminCatalog, it could be very useful to have a products grid subtab (reference, description, ...) in order to search for an existing product before creating it. For instance, we must navigate throw categories which is not very helpful.* Although the front seems to respect the MVC pattern, it's apparently not the case for the back (administrator side). We can only override an admin tab by writing a module but not overloading it. What is the future on this? It should be great to have more than a two-layer menu possibility in order to extend the backoffice. That's all for now, hoping that these remars/requests are not out of the scope of this topics and can be useful for later.Best regards,Helgvor STOLL.www.sexy-shoppy.comwww.ebizness-services.com
Claudio10
I'm using the import tool to upgrade the catalog from my pos software. The import tool of 1.4 rc1 hasn´t prices per group, when do you think prestashop do it?Tx.Claudio

csogilvie
Hmm, if this is the release candidate, why does one of the touted new features (OSCommerce import) not work in any way reliably? In fact, I'm not convinced it's REALLY had that much "real world" testing at all, including before changes to it are committed to SVN If it was me, personally, I'd say the OSCommerce importer was not even beyond alpha state...If this really is a RC, I may need to decide against Prestashop as our next e-commerce platform. Doug's Mugs
Does RC mean that it is still not recommended for production?
csogilvie
To me, as a software developer, RC means it's good enough for release and could actually be released as it is just now...

helgvor_stoll
Hi Patric,I will take a better look on the forum in order to choose the best place for the requests. Nevertheless, I found a solution to override and to overload and AdminXXX tab in a module by using the Class Reflexion in PHP.I then wrote a module yesterday to add the ability of cart deleting and the default total amount ordering. So I will try to write a little explanation on that (when I will have more time) in order to share.Best regards,Helgvor STOLLwww.sexy-shoppy.comwww.ebizness-services.com

csogilvie
I do, that's the problem - and then I see that RCs are being released, despite there still being bugs in newly touted features.

Instead of complaining, may be you should explain what are the bugs you encouter and even, far much better, post them into the Bug Tracker. csogilvie
I have posted them in to the Bug Tracker, as I said... unfortunately, until each bug is resolved, I can't find any more of them because normally they stop the entire thing working. Drekavac
I tested all beta versions, and now also RC. The main thing that MUST work for me is importer from OSCommerce. In any of this version OSCommerce importer did not work.In this version I get this error on start (it is all ok with currencies in oscommerce): Default currency doesn't match : Eroticno : Euro ≠ Importer osCommerce : Please change default currency in your configuration What I want to know, is there any one who can confirm, that importer does work? bolu
Hi,I installed prestashop 1.4 RC1 and didn't find Guest Checkout and One Page Checkout modules. There (http://www.prestashop.com/forums/viewannounce/89014_2/) is said that I can find "Guest Checkout and One Page Checkout optimization". Is that mean that these modules are available in this release or that if I buy these modules in a prestashop store they will work fine with the new release?thx
Nebojsa Stojanovic
Hi,the module is available natively :In : Preferences -> Order process type -> choose : One Page Checkoutand Enable guest checkout just above...Regards

mysolarstore
Any word on how long it will be before the final release is ready? I am looking forward to using 1.4, but I don't want to take too much time adding products to 1.4 beta4 if it's not easy to upgrade to the final release... Will there be a simple way of upgrading so I don't have to start from scratch?Looking forward to using 1.4 soon!!!
Luca S.
Can I already use rc1 for my shop? I know is adviced to wait, but i would start with this 1.4 version... Could i upgrade it when it will be out 1.4 stable?
mytheory.
Anybody have comments/concerns regarding upgrading to 1.4 (specifically from 1.2.5)?Anxiously waiting to upgrade our shop to 1.4, but in the past there have been some horror stories regarding upgrading. Just want to know if it's been improved or not, and what I should expect.Thank!
lozaria
Hi, what about cyrillic symbols support in PDF? Thanks. I'm interested in that feature as well. This bug was reported since version 1.0.0.8http://www.prestashop.com/bug_tracker/view/148/and still exists in 1.3.6http://www.prestashop.com/bug_tracker/view/7024/I hope that this feature will be finally available in 1.4 because it is very important to have unicode characters on the pdf invoices. mandrin
One of the main features that must work is the OsCommerce importer. I say "must" because if it works flawlessly, the uptake of Prestashop will be suddenly very huge! I have 2 large stores just waiting to migrate... OKLY
Hi all, just want to know if the v1.4 allows us to add an admin or credit card surcharge fee?At the moment all I can do is to add in a handling fee but it will be applied to all the transactions and I don't want this to happen, I just want the fee to be applied when the payment method is via credit card or PayPal. guest*
Me too. I need to add a fee (%) to payment with PayPal or CC. Is there any module or a fix for PayPal using Prestaversion 1.4.0.
