Google crawl errors

I have currently got over 7,000 URL not found crawl errors according to Webmaster Tools. They all appear to be 404 errors and the format of every page not found is similar to:

http://www.vintagepinkonline.co.uk/BNk8shcN00=BVAGJezRif8=+8tYmaUuJuk=RoAhVmbNFKw=

Could someone please explain what this is and how to stop these pages being generated in the first place or at least not indexed (I have the prestashop generated robots.txt file).

I think it's caused by a bug in the statistics module in PrestaShop that was fixed in PrestaShop v1.3.2.

Hi

The most likely reason is that you have bad links on your site. Such links are the sign of relative links being used instead of abslute, which is something Virtuemart does sometimes. If we stick to the first example, where are the links to "recommend" a product found ? (you must have a link like : index2.php?page=shop.recommend&product_id=6187&pop=1&tmpl=component&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=71 somewheer on a page)

Hi All,

I am using Version 1.3.2.3 but still I am also getting error as 404 not found in google webmaster. Can anyone have solution for it.

I am running 1 site on 1.3.1.1 and 2 on 1.3.2.3.
With the 1.3.1 site i get the strange urls from the Statsdata module.
in the 1.3.2.3 i do not get any strange urls.

What can happen is that webmaster Tools remembers older entries, so it might look like you have strange urls

I am also facing same issue. I tried to remove same through google webmaster tools but still much more response in google.
