No modules! Please help!

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I'm working on my site again which I put on hold for several months. I was in the backoffice and when I clicked on the modules tab, there was not one module to be seen! Not even the standard ones. Please help! Much appreciated :)
Well, dear friend... it's seems we are in the same soup!

Check the following link, for a same/similar problem...
actually wrong result, due to some wrong cause:
i can't see any modules in admin/modules tab

There it is suggested how to start and proceed
to identify the actual error, at least.

To solve the problem, myself I am waiting
for some PrestExpert good Samaritan
to rescue me from these terrifying quicksands...
:ahhh:

... any error on modules post it here.

Dear Razaro, since you are so kind to promise to give it a look,
see attached the 1st image with the error, which I get in admin/modules,
and the 2nd image, with the same error replicated in admin/payments.

Thank you for your precious time:

The best way:

go to ftp, and modules folder.

Order the modules by date

Delete the most recent modified or uploaded modules (bakup first)
and try to access to modules in admin

Not sure what is a problem, check if file statssearch.php in modules/statssearch folder exists and it is readable.

Thank you, Razaro, for your kind suggestion and
thanks to Mikersson, too,
though I was a bit reluctant
to *re-install eveything*, like he suggested,
when I thought that, perhaps,
re-installing THAT particular module,
which was causing the error,
could have been a possible/logical solution.

Thanks go also to Shacker, for his suggested method,
though I did not proceed with that,
since things went back to normal,
after having re-installed the culprit module.

--------------------------------------

Considering that the error reported
was lamenting something about the statssearch module,
I suspected some kind of corruption in that module.
Therefore, I re-installed the original statssearch module
by copying the whole folder prestashop\modules\statssearch
from the original installation files and
I pasted it inside my current prestashop\modules folder,
thus over-writing the existing corrupted files.

After re-loading/re-freshing/re-starting PrestaShop...
the whole thing was back again in its due place,
in the modules and in the payment tabs, both.

Hope and wish that it can be this same simple
for applestarz, too,
who started the thread and had the same/similar problem.
:-)
THANK YOU, once again, to our PrestaGurus, quoted above

I didn't start this topic :-)

It is applestarz and didn't replay yet. And I am glad you fixed your problem easy by reinstalling module.

This is great advice and if all files are uploaded/copied correctly this is good way to find what module have error.
If there are no error messages and problem is still there reinstall is final solution.

Oops! Sorry:
I mixed up your goodnames :red:

So, when applestarz will 'finalize',
we will be able to consider the case closed and SOLVED.
