[SOLVED] Item pictures not showing in Shopping Cart page. PLEASE HELP!

Hi-

I ask for someones assistance urgently.

The issue is when an item is added ( via clicking on the "Add to cart" button), the product images does not show in the shopping cart.

A box with a question mark only shows.

We are trying to take the store live soon, and greatly appreciate anyone's help.

Note: The products we added from a database backup after we installed version 1.3 and product images show just fine on all other pages.

Do you have test site were this can be seen ?
Question mark image shows when image path is not correct or file does not exist.

This is a known issue in old theme that are not compatible with the latest version of PrestaShop. Make sure that line 3 of shopping-cart-product-line.tpl in your theme is the following:

<a href="{$link->getProductLink($product.id_product, $product.link_rewrite, $product.category)|escape:'htmlall':'UTF-8'}"><img src="{$link->getImageLink($product.link_rewrite, $product.id_image, 'small')}" alt="{$product.name|escape:'htmlall':'UTF-8'}" />

Note that the parameter is 'small'. Some older themes have the wrong parameter there.

I checked to make sure that line 3 showed correct.

It already showed this.

However, I re-pasted what you supplied and it still did not work.

The theme is for version 1.3. I can't think of what else to do.

It's driving me crazy, we really need to get up and running.

Please, please offer further assistance.

Screenshots don't really do us much good. You need to supply us with a working URL where we can view the code that is produced by PS in order for us to help you further.

This is the way it looks in my 1.2.5 cart, try this code to see if you get your images:

I did some further looking around in the back office.

I noticed that when you view the products in the catalog they show up fine.

However when you click on a specific product in the back office the image under the description does not show, just shows box with question mark.

When you click on the box with question mark, it open up a browser window that shows the image just fine.

Can this be the possible issue?

Why would the images not show when you open a specific product in the back office, but show when you view all your products in back office?????

Like a stated earlier the catalog was ported over from a backup. Instructions were followed, and images in the live store show, just not in shopping cart.

Is there some other step I should take?

Have you checked to see if you have all sizes of your product images?

Well I’ll be….

It’s always the simplest stuff which fixes it right?

I almost half want it to be a more difficult fixed, just to justify why the hell I was so stumped.

But I gratefully take this, and I thank you MrBaseball34!

That was the only image size not set when checked, it was a default in the previous presta version…I think. Oh well.
