too many redirects issue on fresh install 1.6

Hi,

 

I'm getting an error on a freshly installed webshop:

 

Page isn't working, www.unijk.nl redirected you too many times.

ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS

 

I'm getting an error on a freshly installed webshop: However it is a fresh install, how is this possible? It only seems to do this on Chrome, I can view it in other browsers (firefox) fine.

I have deleted the htaccess and generated a new one, no improvement. Deleting cookies and cache also doesn't help.

There are no redirects at all, it is just a simple webshop install.

Any help?

Seems that you might have nginx server installed in front of apache.  nginx does not utilize apache htaccess rewrites.  It would be helpful if you can describe your hosting environment configuration (web server type, PHP version etc...)

OVH is hosting the site

 

rosieposy.fr to a server (IPv4 - A)

MYSQL  v.5.5

Global PHP version 5.6

in the meantime I have used the prestashop 

 FUNCTIONAL INTEGRITY CONSTRAINTS

but that doesnt resolve the issue either

it doesn't help, you left out how you are using web server and PHP.  apache, nginx, fast-cgi, fpm etc...

When a client pays with a bank draft the customers order page opens  works. It seems it is the payplug module that is blocking the customer page openining.
