rocky
I've been told by a quite a few people that my website is inaccessible to them, especially people in China. Can someone who can't access my site please do a trace route to www.nethercottconstructions.com and send me the result so I can pass it on to my host for analysis? To do a trace route, go to the command prompt and enter: tracert www.nethercottconstructions.com Then resize the command prompt so that all the output is visible, right-click on the command prompt and choose "Mark", then click and drag to select the result, then press Enter to copy it to your clipboard. You can then paste it in a post here or PM it to me.Thanks in advance

rocky
Thanks. I'm looking for someone from China or an area that can't access my website. My host told me that my server IP is blocked in China because of something another person on my server did. They told me I need a trace route from China before they can help me. SpyrosT
Rocky, Your site was inaccessible for me last week.It happened for one day only and it was the same day you have posted that topic on how to speed up a site.
rocky
I've noticed that my website may occasionally become inaccessible for a while in peak periods, when the number of visitors gets above about 150, but that's not what my host wants to know about. They want to know about what DNS server is blocking my website. For some people, my website is never accessible to them, even in the off-peak periods. I need a trace route from them to determine which DNS server is blocking my domain name.
SpyrosT
Just found this.
rocky
Yep, it confirmed that I'm blocked in China. :-/It doesn't give me the trace route information I need for my host though.EDIT: I found a website here that appears to let me trace route from Beijing to my site. It's failing after a few hops. I'll pass on the information to my host.
rocky
My host has moved me to a new server, but it will take 24 hours for the DNS to propagate. Hopefully, that will get around this problem.
rocky
Yay, it worked! :-) Now that my website has been moved to another server, I did another trace route from China and it got through this time. Thank you, Just Host. Can anyone from China confirm that it works now?

rocky
:-S That's weird. Last time, my server was blocked in China because of something bad someone else did on my server. I hope I don't have to switch servers again.
