Cannot access backoffice - "ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS"

Hi all

 

I have recently lost access to my backoffice - I now get the error "ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS". I have not moved domain and the store domain name is set correctly in PS_Shop_URL (apporter.com.au). The main webpage (apporter.com.au) appears to work normally.

 

I have seen some of the prior posts where this has come up - in the front office (not relevant to me I don't think) and one from a week ago from IBASAN also in the back office (which did not seem to get resolved unfortunately)?

 

As such, I've tried the following (amongst other things):

- deleting cache on my browsers (Chrome / Edge)

- deleting /cache/class_index.php

- replacing ".htaccess" with a previous version which I know worked successfully

- setting "debug mode" to true in /config/defines.inc.php (though I don't see what this does?)

 

I've now spent the best part of a day trying unsuccessfully to get into my back office. If there are any wizz's out there who could be so kind as to offer some other suggestions, I would be very appreciative.

have you installed any 3rd party modules that may try to redirect to somewhere else or it will change the URL rewrite rules?

you may try to disable those 3rd party modules you installed and see if that fix the problem.

 

otherwise you may have to debug the /controllers/admin/AdminLoginController.php to find out where the redirection happened and where it redirects to.
