hello

its because imageslider rewrite the file and php gd (graphic) function does not save motion.

all animated gifs will be static with black background instead transparent.

Hello Vekia,

Do you think that's possible to insert gif on homepage slider with a code ? Or it will be always static ?

May be exist one module to insert gif ?

Thinks for your answer !!

hello

it is possible but it requires modifications of homeslider module.

in this case it will be necessary to alter module .php code (part responsible for image upload and save)

it will be necessary to exclude .gif format from "re-save" process.

One solution I just tested would be:

- Create your slider in the backoffice of prestashop

- Visit ur website and check the new slider-image names (multiple if u have multiple languages) and locations (normally withing the module/homeslider/images folder) by right clicking the images and choose the corresponding action (in Firefox its called "View Image Info"). Rename your slider gifs on your harddrive to the names they have on the webserver after upload with homeslider module and upload them manually via ftp. Replace the old slider images and ur GIFs are animated ;)
