An item in your cart is no longer available AFTER adding a NEW group

After adding a new group and setting up a customer to this group you may find Prestashop displays a note like this at check out for the customer...

 

"An item in your cart is no longer available"

 

If this happens, you will need to ensure your customer is also selected as one of the 3 original Groups (Visitor, Guest, Customer) as well as your new Group (in my case "Trade")

 

Visitor                      (  )

Guest                      (  )

Customer                (X)

Trade (New Group) (X)

 

Then select "Default Customer Group" to {Trade} (New Group)

 

This should fix your problem.
