Timeout shopping cart

Hi Gurus,

 

After some testing with the site, I realised the products in shopping cart does not gets clear even though it has been days since the customer has logged in.

 

I would like to avoid this and set a 30 min timer and remove customers shopping cart.

 

Are the ways to do this? And what is the best way to achieve this ?

I have set the Lifetime of Front office cookies to 1 and still no luck,

Works now as I cleared the cache under Advanced Parameters > Performance

I do not think clear server cache will clear shopping cart.

abandoned shopping cart will not be deleted automatically unless you delete theme manually.

 

shopping cart id is remembered in user's browser, so when user visits your store, the saved shopping cart will be loaded automatically.

user can clear browser cache to start new shopping cart, but the old shopping cart still in your store database.

oh, that is under Administration - Preferences tab, not Advanced Parameters - Performance tab.

Yes for Lifetime front end cookies is under Administration - Preferences tab. But changing this didnt work until I clear cache in Prestashop
