abandoned cart

once Prestashop marks a cart as abandoned, can the customer still come back to it?  My customers seem to be unable to pull up their old carts once it has been marked abandoned.  And is there anything we can do about changing the time a cart sits out there before Prestashop tags it as abandoned?

try this:

 

back office-->preferences-->customers

 

set Re-display cart at login to 'yes'.

 

Note: I do not think return visitor actually needs to login for this to work.  You can test yourself.

yes, I have that set to "yes". Still seem to have trouble with customers finding their abandoned carts. I'll try running a test myself. thanks

If Re-display cart setting is turned on then logged in customer must be able to see their old cart. Only guest customers will not be able to see old cart if they use different system next time or have cleared their cache and cookies.

That may be a problem why there is many "abandoned cart" generated !

I have NOT set "back office-->preferences-->customers" Re-display cart at login to 'yes'.

 

I would like to know do I need to DELETE all outdated abandoned cart. Leaving them there do any harm of the system ?!

I remove abonded carts and none ordered carts about once a month with the exception of the most recent carts that are attached to customers.

If you just leave them over time the cart tables in the database will become very large.
