4thbasement
Hello Presta community, I just upgraded prestashop by using 1-click upgrade module. From version 1.5.3.1 to 1.6.1.5. Prestashop (backoffice) looks as it should under this new version, however, clicking on MODULES gives me an error: [PrestaShop] Fatal error in module file :/home/xxxxxxx/public_html/classes/db/DbPDO.php:Call to a member function rowCount() on a non-object I'd rather get some advice on how to approach this before meddling with source files. Can someone point me in the right direction? Some additional info: the site itself looks slightly off (seems like some blocks have been shuffled, or appear where they aren't supposed to be, which is not unexpected after an upgrade, but this is what why i need access to modules) Any help is appreciated and let me know if I need to provide additional information. Thank you, Tom
tuk66
Some module isn't probably compatible with PS 1.6. Try to rename all subdirectories under /modules and then try to show the page while renaming one-after-one subdirectory back.
4thbasement
Hi tuk66, You are probably right. For example, I disabled one of the modules (i disabled it from "placement" menu) and the screwed up info on the site went away. But another issue I have is that I can't access the modules list. [PrestaShop] Fatal error in module file :/home/gotyours/public_html/classes/db/DbPDO.php:Call to a member function rowCount() on a non-object In fact, there is so many issue after I did a 1click upgrade to 1.6 that I really need to reverse it back to 1.5. Can someone point me in the right direction on how to do this safely?
tuk66
Beware, restoring the previous version can (not always) cause even more problems. Read stories at this forum.
musicmaster
Beware, restoring the previous version can (not always) cause even more problems. Read stories at this forum. I agree. It is better to restore a backup. And otherwise: make a backup before you try to restore.
