My client want both "one page checkout" and "cart" page? Is it possible

Hello friends,

 

My client want me to enable one page checkout and to modify it. When I do so, the cart page is getting replaced with "One page checkout" page. Now he want me to show cart page as well, with a custom design. One page checkout is also showing cart(by including shopping-cart.tpl) in it but the problem is if I modify shopping-cart.tpl for cart page then it shows the same design in one page checkout.

And above all the big question is how to activate both cart and one page checkout together.
