Product customization

I am creating a website for a customer that has a lot of products, each with many size options. So I have set up combinations for these products. However when purchasing the customer also has to choose one colour from a list of colours. I was going to set up the colour as a product attribute but combined with the sizes this is going to produce a considerable number of combinations.

Instead I just wanted to have the "colour" as a drop-down customisation option. Is it possible to set up a drop-down customisation option which can then be assigned to chosen products?

BY default, PrestaShop does not support this, it only support Text (textbox ) or  File type.

But you may consider to customize by define a Text type and then change the textbox to dropdown in the theme file product.tpl.

 

Or you may consider to use commercial 3rd party module.
