Hi, i am new to SSL and this the first site i have ever done with prestashop or with SSL.

I purchased my SSL certificate and it has been installed on my server with prefix of "secure."

I have enabled my shop to SSL. But now when i click "my account" it doesnt put the https://secure. infront of my address. However it works if i manually enter the address with this infront of it. But then...once im on the my account page and then click to a catagorie, it doesnt put the https, just http...

You'll see what i mean when you have a look for yourself.

https://secure.footballamerica.co.uk/store/

also whats causing the security warning on the secure pages on IE?

Cheers for any help.

Jaime

Implementing SSL on all your web shop pages is a VERY bad idea as Google will never index your site properly. Using the https prefix on every page will slow your site speed and you will be penalized for this by the search engines.

I have only just successfully installed SSL on my web shop after having the same problems as you are experiencing. I found out that the problem was with a link on a block content module that I had installed that was displayed on my checkout page - it was not secure and thus caused a problem with the customer checkout process. Any Javascript or flash that is displayed on your site can also cause conflicts sometimes.

move the whole store to secure.

with checkout, contact and login, the shop will switch to https://

i've not seen a way to have the store run on domain.com and a secure connection on secure. as it are 2 different domains in theory.

though i think you will be better of getting a new certificate on domain.com

Your ssl is: https://secure.footballamerica.co.uk/store/ while your store is : http://footballamerica.co.uk/store/'>http://footballamerica.co.uk/store/
Change all to http://secure.footballamerica.co.uk/store/ so you will also have https://secure.footballamerica.co.uk/store/, then it will work.
get a redirect from http://footballamerica.co.uk/store/'>http://footballamerica.co.uk/store/ to http://secure.footballamerica.co.uk/store/ or have an index on http://footballamerica.co.uk for introduction, and foreward to https://secure.footballamerica.co.uk/store/ can be an autodirect.

I believe it's setup that http and https are different directories, though https can be redirected to the http dir.
