Changing Product URL Structure

HELP!

 

I've changed the url structure of my product pages to:

 

www.domain.com/product-name

 

...rather than having the category names before the product name.

 

Since doing this none of my product pages work when friendly urls are enabled. All product pages get redirected back to the homepage.

 

If I enable friendly urls and change the structure back to category-name/product-name then it works as before.

 

Why does removing the category name break the friendly url??

Are you using any module that gets rid of ids?

Yes, but I've found a solution.

 

I had both category and product pages set to {rewrite}

 

I just changed the category settings to {rewrite}- and it works.

 

Ideally I don't want the - after the category name but I guess it won't do any harm if that is the only way around it.

Yeah, you cannot have them identical, because of the dispatcher's Architecture
